The Bronxkill Story
Hi, I'm Jerry. I started Bronxkill to publish my own books and those of others. I began writing professionally when I was a 19-year-old college student, and have been in media ever since. After I decided to leave the office world to help raise my kids, I started writing books.
The first, Fallen Angel, was an immediate bestseller. The second, released almost simultaneously, called Rat, was greeted with even more critical success. Since then, I have written, co-written and ghost written more than a dozen books. Some of them have been bestsellers. My books have been used as university textbooks, quoted on the floor of the California legislature, quoted in Rolling Stone and reviewed in The Wall Street Journal.
But when my publisher — one of the big names that I won't identify here — told me that cutbacks meant that I would have to do the bulk of my own marketing, I started my own publishing company. Since then, I have released books not just by me, but by other authors who deserved to be read, but might not have gotten the chance.
So, I'm opening up my business to other authors — new or established — who deserve a shot. If that's of any interest to you, email me here. Make it brief. If I think your idea has legs, I'll ask for a pitch. I'm sorry, but I have to charge $10 US for each pitch to reduce the number of submissions I get, and to cover legal costs.
What happens after that is up to you.
Best,
Jerry
PS: Bronxkill isn't meant to sound violent. It's just the name of a small creek I was near when I came up with the idea.
